Death 02:15
Death is in the room With a black balloon He has found my timid candle Every flame eventually pops ...and it goes hiss, hiss, hiss...
2.
Scenery 04:30
Sipping up time What's your new job like? Tell me from over the phone Well I am impressed You are so confident I am the best Well I am not anywhere close Distance is measured in moments The moments you spend on the phone Playing limbo Tell me where you go Where you go when you feel alone And the scenery changes your body And the scenery changes your mind And the scenery changes your chemical makeup You're making up for all the time. Cutting up ground What is Paris like? Whisper from over the phone Well I am your wave Now watch as I'm rolling away... a circle We will be reborn At least for a time When I heard you tonight I heard you from over the phone You and a lie back in Savannah, I'm trying I'm trying to leave it alone.

Bury Bone 03:40
Be quick infinity, jitterbug bunny up too close Promised assembly, but honey now the factories closed Well, talk from a fragranced woman need not obey this Will religion save you on your own? Estimate your cadence Laughing with your big bone Then you're called to the unknown Bury, bury deep dark down Dig up, dig up, dig up now Staring at the bruises Ice packs... purple skin showing proof Honey do I look down on you? Cause they do They do What a temple we hike too The proof? Can I keep one of the minutes apprentice? Shackled inside a tie and your blanket Can I keep one of the minutes for penance? Shame to the shadows and their new positions

When you wake up covered in tar and feather Will you be the one who hides her face? Blood. Dripping sweat Try to see through all the tears, they melt a heart They're melting everything. If you say so, to my knees and I will pray There's a storm and she's got some fangs I'll own up to the theme of this charade Play dress up and keep your hands clean (I'll lie awake) There's a nightmare. Darting eyes that glare And I just can't believe the state of this place. There's a nightmare: parting legs for stranger I've seen the past and it's informing me You are the dare (the ghost behind my eyelids) I've had a look and can't make out a face Dark corridors, reaching out in blindness Let's have some fun at least if you haunt me (...) This is just some game for some nameless thing. If you size it up, straight to the heart it matters Pour it over wounds and mix the concrete Ice is raining down underneath my pillow Stabbing from the needles trying to be clean Break apart the fight. Nature of the evil Down when good's in town The nature of the beast All behind my eyes, silent in the mirror I have a need and it's controlling me (...) I need a taste.

I was barely Odd Willow seedling when I got my elephant Big and pink and kind of sticky From the mud he's rolling in And every night I'd take him on a walk He would stomp and my future grew dark. There I was braced and pasty My only friend was my elephant They all laughed and called me crazy From the mud they huddled in So every night I'd take him on a walk He calmed my fear and taught me not to love. Weathered tusk and the willow scuffed Everything it wants is wanted once enough I'm counting elephants I could see my lover leaving when she found my elephant No more peace. No more safekeeping. She saw the mud we cuddled in So every night I made her take a walk I would smile, and my future grew dark. Now this room, it echoes empty Except for sounds of elephants I've made tracks, but they are fleeting From the door my muddy prints circle back I'm too afraid to walk The future's here And my, it's gotten dark.

Louise 04:04
This is the story of a girl named Louise I found her dancing on a mountaintop and tumbling through the streams This is the corner of a street where we would meet And we would sit upon the bench and watch the universe beginning I was a young man and I am a young man still But I see my life ahead of me like climbing up a hill And all at once it just appears, and I'm in awe When she climbs back down from all the rocks The scenery moves so slow I knew she'd always have to roam There I go Sometimes you gotta let them go This is the story of a girl named Louise I found her dancing on a mountaintop and tumbling through the streams This is the time that we climbed cemetery wall and we sat there among the graves The new replaced the old I was a young man but felt worn upon the hilt When I saw my life ahead of me like climbing up a hill And all at once it just appears, and I'm in awe When she climbs back down from all the rocks The scenery moves so slow... Tender feet I soak in the tie-dying Tender me Your breath is peach and timeless Tender this Impress your lips Hell, I'm trying Take a hint Louise is free and flying This is the story of a girl named Louise With the last chapter blackened out Redacted to a tease This is the moment that my eyes are opening Some things you gotta let go of before you are beginning I was a young man and I am a young man still But I see our lives ahead of us in fertile, unfulfilled Little prayers in the woods that turn to song When she climbs back down from all the rocks The scenery moves so slow.

Hannah, do you hear me? Lost in the static Dreaming of a way to Lift ourselves out of it Lying in the green grass You are a voice from God I am just a young man But you are his speakerbox I suppose you know A mile marker from forever home Hannah, do you hear me? (Oh yes, I hear you child) We may never know Dreaming of a way to Let all these feelings go Lying in the green grass (Oh yes, I hear you child) You are a voice from God I am just a young man But you are his speakerbox... Hannah, do you hear me? Lost in the static

New Voodoo 03:53
The man who left it on the table Wrapped in linen walking off Here walks Lazarus who sought Something down below us Flies are buzzing unabated Around a cold and headless corpse Kids are poking. Unimportant. Water all around us. Tea and wine. The drink and bread Portion out the blood and Lamb Bourbon fattening the hips Twisted up in winter In a diamond, hide the sky Evil as a concubine Good as definite. Defined. Water all around us. Whitewash my gratified name When the water rose for me Secrets smile out the graves Every waking moment This is what I'm told I'm sure I'm not him And you're not her We're two separate people pleasers Pleased by our performance I picked it all up off the table Knew that I could have it all Now the demons lay it down In the cloth of cotton fields that grow up in the south Bloody hands and parched mouth Here, Delilah laid it down And the water rose up To meet the earth Always so assured Flood her lip with quarters New Orleans death curse Voodoo in a mini skirt

Hotbox 05:23
Smoke cloud, cellophane engine Channel surf, tease intervention Waking up early and seeing you there Smoking the cheap in the passenger seat You'll just as soon pay all your dues Add to the basket, each apple is coded Repeatedly hitting the snooze But it only comes to this This is just a test Attest! Attest! Now you've been talking in rhythm In pitch with a microwave whine Surround me with debris and delicate wire Chew up the page with ambition Turn back the clock No one's buying your time See it so clear in a vision A flash on the street and the airbag deploys But it only comes to this This is just a test Attest! Attest! Come on baby drive with me Into the night.

Tradition 07:37
Well it's tradition to name a song And this tradition is young You're my creation I'm conduit You're a sensation pulsing Do you feel talk spill out your mouth? You live in dark Light finds you out. It's tradition My father's voice My father's hands Would shape the noise All our creations passed around To dance in circles Fire lies down It's tradition to carve the wood A proposition... you should. Now a creation does appear When you speak God The devil fears.
